For the best music listening environment, I would say repeating sections of the music. If you closed your eyes and listened to a song once, you would not understand the piece as well as you would if you repeated sections of the music.

 Whether listening to a song out loud on a speaker or blasting through your earbuds, listening to music with your eyes close enhances your listening and you can focus on what your listening to and you can even imagine what the song is talking about in your head. I love listening to music and when you close your eyes, it makes the best music listening enviroment possible. :)
