Tundra is one of the biomes where trees don't grow easily due to the effects of low temperature and non lengthy growing season. Therefore, if the vegetation of such a biome is destroyed, there would not be enough food for the animals who depend on the vegetation to survive. This would lead to a devastating effect because surviving vegetation would be decimated by the animals before new trees grow. There could be a point which vegetation no longer exist. This would lead to death and starvation of the animals.
