Note the equal sign. What you do to one side, you do to the other.
Do the opposite of PEMDAS.
Subtract 7 from both sides

Next, to isolate the x, multiply 5 to both sides
x/5(5) = -11(5)
x = -11(5)
x = -55
-55 is your answer for x.
