Systemic infections with fungus usually do not happen in people with health resistant systems. They are deliberated as opportunistic because they systemically contaminate those with debilitated immune system function. They are not collective, but not particularly erratic. Systemic fungal infections are difficult to treat, but cannot be treated with penicillin.

Which of the following types of mutations is MOST likely to alter the encoded protein?A single nucleotide deletionA point mutati
victus00 [196]

Answer:

A point mutation in the 1st base of a codon

Explanation:

A point mutations are mutations of one base in the DNA sequence. The effects of point mutations might be harmful, beneficial or neutral.

Deletion mutations are frameshift mutation, because they change the reading frame and thus affect the sequence of amino acids produced. Usually, protein changes its structure and function and become useless.

Point mutations at 2nd base of codon are misssense mutations, meaning that the new amino acid is produced, but it can be amino acid with similar properties. That will not affect the function of the protein a lot.

3rd base of a codon are often silent mutations, which means that the sam amino acid is produced (multiple codons can code for the same amino acid).

To test acidity levels of water, scientists test its pH. As acid rain falls, the pH Levels in lakes and streams decreases. Candi
Gnom [1K]
Can you please put the graph in the question so I can see it?

Acids have a pH level power than 7. Water is usually close to 7 pH, but it is usually diluted because of various factors. I'm assuming you mean the pH of the sample was 5.4? This would make more sense. The acid rain would lower the average pH because the rain has a pH less than 7. The rain's pH will also be less than 5.4 because it would need to average with the waters previous pH to get this number.
