Step-by-step explanation:

Hello!!!

I can understand how you feel about this. I hope to do my best in helping you understand quadrant numbering and signs.

Now for the number start form the top right and move counter-clockwise, that is

Top right =1st quadrant

Top left = 2nd quadrant

Bottom left = 3rd quadrant

Bottom right =4th quadrant

Basically moving counter-clockwise you will get this

Now for the sign convection

Up and right are both positive

Down and left are both negative.

I hope this helps. Don't forget to let me know should you need any further assistance.

Regards.

A small cruising ship that can hold up to 66 people provides three-day excursions to groups of 42 or more. If the group contains
lana66690 [7]

Answer:

50 people

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the number of people on the cruise. The amount they each must pay is ...

... ($58 -(x -42)) = $100 -x

The revenue from the group is the product of the number of people and the amount each pays:

... r(x) = x·(100 -x)

This describes a downward-opeing parabola with zeros at x=0 and x=100. The vertex (maximum) will be found halfway between those zeros, at x=50.

A group size of 50 maximizes revenue from the cruise.

If, for all x, f'(x)=(x-2)^4(x-1)^3, it follows that funtaion f has
Elenna [48]

Answer:

We say that f(x) has an absolute (or global) minimum at x=c if f(x)≥f(c) f ( x ) ≥ f ( c ) for every x in the domain we are working on. We say that f(x) has a relative (or local) minimum at x=c iff(x)≥f(c) f ( x ) ≥ f ( c ) for every x in some open interval around x=c .

The perimeter of the rectangle below is 106 units. Find the length of side AD. Write your answer without variables.
OLEGan [10]

Answer:

AD would be 20

Step-by-step explanation:

2x +2x +3x + 3 +3x+3=106

10x+6 = 106

10x =106-6

10x =100

x= 100/10

x=10

2x = 2*10

2x=20
