Why is it difficult for the federal government to make larger cuts in spending?
dedylja [7]

It difficult for the federal government to make larger cuts in spending, because the largest part of government spending is fixed and cannot be easily reduced.

Answer: Option B

Explanation:

The federal government is the central government of the country and is concerned with the welfare and the betterment of the people and for this purpose only the federal government has to spend huge amount of money for the development purposes of the country and for solving the problems of the country.

12345 [234]
The northern states supported anti slavery and the southern states were proslavery. Between 1848 and 1861, 5 states entered the union. 4 of these states were free states. The abolitionists faced new challenges with the passage of the Fugitive Slave Act. The new provisions imposed harsh punishments and fines on anyone who interfered with the capture of enslaved people.

what might make government officials decide to spend additional money on social security instead of the military?
irga5000 [103]
Well since most of the population now 'lives' on social media, social security is now at a much higher risk of being hacked. Anyone who has an account on anything social media related can be hacked. Now in my opinion, Government Officials would probably do this to protect their citizens as extra help. And if it was truly neccesary and most rational during a decision, no doubt the government would spend the money on military needs. It just depends on the situation at hand.

Why did the religious fervor of the Great Awakening eventually spill over to the political arena?
Leno4ka [110]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although no options were attached, we can say the following.

The religious fervor of the Great Awakening eventually spilled over to the political arena because people started to demand changes in US politics. Religious followers that listened to the preachers in church and learned about God's will, equality because humans are brothers and sisters, wanted the same from the government: a fair treatment with equality and equity in society. American people started to desire freedom from the English government and the idea of Independence started to spread.
