So, there are 3 sides, meaning is a triangle with 3 angles.

now, we know the interior angles of a triangle add up to 180°.

these 3 angles are at a ratio of 1:2:2 with each other... so what we do is simply split 180 into (1+2+2) equal pieces, and give 1 piece to one, 2 to the other and 2 to the last one.

180/(1+2+2)  is 36

so the angle with ratio of 1 takes 1(36)

the angle with ratio of 2 takes 2(36)

and the last angle also takes 2(36).

you can add them up if you wish, they are 180°.

Write the equation of the line that passes through the points (-4, 8) and (-2, -1).
Mazyrski [523]

Answer:

<u>Point-slope form</u>:  y - 8 = -9/2(x + 4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given points (-4, 8) and (-2, -1)

In order to determine the point-slope form of the line, we must first solve for its slope by using the following formula:

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

Let (x1, y1) =  (-4, 8)

    (x2, y2) = (-2, -1)

Substitute these values into the slope formula:

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

m = (-1 - 8)/ [-2 (-4)]

m = -9/(-2 + 4)

m = -9/2

Therefore, the slope is m = -9/2.

Next, using the slope, m = -9/2, and one of the given points, (-4, 8), substitute these values into the point-slope form:

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - 8 = -9/2[x - (-4)]

y - 8 = -9/2(x + 4)

B and C are absurd; if a series converges, it must have a sum, but if a series diverges, it cannot have a sum.

Now, notice that

\dfrac12+\dfrac29+\dfrac4{27}+\dfrac8{81}+\cdots=\dfrac12+\dfrac{2^{2-1}}{3^2}+\dfrac{2^{3-1}}{3^3}+\dfrac{2^{4-1}}{3^4}+\cdots

That is, we can write the sum more compactly as

\dfrac12+\dfrac12\displaystyle\sum_{n=1}^\infty\left(\frac23\right)^n

The series is geometric with common ratio \dfrac23, so the series converges (and thereby has a sum), so the answer is D.
