  • In the late 19th and early 20th century, these immigrants came to form the America and the Europe. The immigrants had with them there Atlantic customs that helped them perpetuate there culture and conservation and then followed the gradual assimilation to the American identity.  
  • <u>These immigrants settled in the American Great Plains, including the state of Nebraska. The European immigrants were the Czechs, the Swedes, and the Germans that settled in the Nebraska. Apart from the Germans, the Czechs and Swedes maintained a strong ethnic identity through the 1910.</u>
