<span>Women were opposed to the idea of women's rights for a variety of reasons. Did they feel they were better off having men take care of them? Did they feel voting was something white men should do? Did they believe that men were the superior sex? I believe that all of the above were reasons that some women opposed the idea of women's rights, because this was simply a major change of thought and a radical new belief that opposed the traditional methods developed over time.</span>
