[A]nd besides, it is not improbable that some scrupulous people might be apt to censure [using less affluent children as a sourc

e of food], (although indeed very unjustly,) as a little bordering upon cruelty; which, I confess, has always been with me the strongest objection against any project, how well soever intended.
Bearing in mind that censure means "to criticize," what is most likely the opinion of the author (but not the narrator)?

A. He considers himself scrupulous despite his proposal to sell and consume children.

B. He is concerned that some people with political power would censure his plan despite its economic soundness.

C. He believes that the people who disapprove of this plan are hypocritical for ignoring the plight of the poor.

D. He believes that his project would solve many financial problems for his nation.

The correct answer is D.

Even though the narrator in this passage shows some scrupulous and remorse about what it would take to make his plan work, the author is using him to show that he really does believe that his plan of using poor children as a source of food would help improve the economic situation of his country.

What is a common theme of the Theater of the Absurd?
Nastasia [14]

Answer:

A. Purposelessness.

Explanation:

The genre of literary writing that emerged from after the Second World War, in which a group of absurdist writers began to write about the absurdity of human situation. Primarily beginning among the European and American dramatists, these drama writers seem to agree with Albert Camus' "The Myth of Sisyphus", which mostly stressed about the uselessness of human life.

Famous writes of this genre include Samuel Beckett (Waiting for Godot), Eugene Ionesco (Rhino), Jean Genet (The Balcony) etc. All of these plays for the "Theatre of the Absurd" genre deals or lays emphasis on the purposelessness of a man's life and life in general. The major elements that are deployed or used in this type of genre are the anti-character, anti- plot etc, while all trying to present a serious issue in a comic tone. This theatrical movement was unusual, quite different from the regular "normal" forms of stories or plays ion it's depiction of what life is really like- a purposeless, useless, meaningless world.

What is the historical background of king tut
Georgia [21]

King Tut was the son of the powerful Akhenaten (also known as Amenhotep IV). His mother was probably one of Akhenaten's sisters. Following a 17-year reign, he had disappeared, probably forced to abdicate, and died soon after. His nine-year-old son, Tutankhaten took over. King Tut (a.k.a Tutankhamun) was the 12th pharoah of the 18th Egyptian dynasty. He was in power from 1332 to 1323 B.C.E.  During his reign, he didn't accomplish that much. However, his advisers restored the traditional Egyptian religion. After his death, he disappeared from history until his tomb was discovered in 1922.

From the evidence in "top of the food chain," how can you infer that the narrator is unreliable A) he provides the cost of using
fiasKO [112]
It would be B because that's the only one in which the author states his opinion, not a fact. It's a fact that the airplanes cost that much, that the DDTs name is the specific one also, and that the little boy has an illness. It is not a fact that the EPA is hopheads.<span />
