WHAT TYPE OF FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE IS THIS? 'THE WHOLE WORLD POURING DOWN.' WHAT IS IT'S LITERAL MEANING?
enyata [817]
I believe 'the whole world pouring down' is a hyperbole (so exaggerated it could not possibly be true). Without knowing the rest of the context that this phrase is from, I would think it means nothing in someone's life is going right; everything is wrong and they could not do anything to stop all the trouble and problems.

Hope this helps! :)
