The correct answer is D) they angrily ignored it.

The reaction of the American colonists to the Proclamation of 1763 was that they angrily ignored it.

Britain gained new and vast portions of land after the French and Indian War and the Seven Years War. That is why British King George III issued the Royal Proclamation of 1763. It prohibited colonist to cross the Appalachian Mountains and moved West to the new territories. Of course, this did not like the American colonists and angrily ignored it. There was no real way for the British to control access into the western territories.

Why did colonists react so strongly against the tea act, which imposed a small tax and actually lowered the price of tea?
Zina [86]
The main reason why the colonists reacted so strongly against the tea act, which only imposed a small tax and actually lowered the price of tea, is because they felt that the decision was out of their hands, since they had no representation in British Parliament. They simply wanted to have some say in the taxation process.
