Jacksonian Democracy was a government led by a strong president that challenged the other Branches of Government specifically Congress (B). Jacksonian Democracy was also a period of time that constituted an era of increased participation of the "common man" in American politics.

A government led by a strong president and that challenged the other Branches.

Further Explanation:

The Jacksonian Democracy was built on certain principles that aimed at strengthening the position of the President that would be backed by strong, loyal supporters within the U.S. Congress. President Jackson sought to build his presidency on the liberal democratic trends that were established by his predecessor, Thomas Jefferson while expanding the reach of various government organizations into numerous public domains. However, President Jackson did not give much importance to placing government control in the hands of educated government officials but placed primary emphasis on building a loyal party culture by supposedly awarding ‘government positions’ to his most loyal supporters. By this, he attempted to build a strong group of loyalists, that would help in getting all of his policies passed without any hindrance.

President Jackson believed that the executive branch should be granted more powers with respect to that of the Congress, and thereby sought to build his position by relaxing all criteria that would be required for getting voting rights. He also believed that the voting mechanisms should be used to democratically elect the judges of the Supreme Court, who were previously appointed. During his reign, many provisions of state constitutions were re-written to reflect the principles of his presidency. Perhaps the most famous aspect of his Presidency also notoriously known as the ‘spoils system’ was crucially used to systematically consolidate his position within the Presidency. He systematically replaced the Jeffersonian politicians and replaced them with his own supporters, and introduced the system of rotation in civil services, so as to prevent anyone officer from overtly gaining too much power.

What impact did the Great Depression have on workers and labor unions?
Sedaia [141]

The Great Depression of the 1930s changed Americans' view of unions. Although AFL membership fell to fewer than 3 million amidst large-scale unemployment, widespread economic hardship created sympathy for working people. At the depths of the Depression, about one-third of the American work force was unemployed, a staggering figure for a country that, in the decade before, had enjoyed full employmentWith the election of President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1932, government -- and eventually the courts -- began to look more favorably on the pleas of labor. In 1932, Congress passed one of the first pro-labor laws, the Norris-La Guardia Act, which made yellow-dog contracts unenforceable. The law also limited the power of federal courts to stop strikes and other job actions.

When Roosevelt took office, he sought a number of important laws that advanced labor's cause. One of these, the National Labor Relations Act of 1935 (also known as the Wagner Act) gave workers the right to join unions and to bargain collectively through union representatives. The act established the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to punish unfair labor practices and to organize elections when employees wanted to form unions. The NLRB could force employers to provide back pay if they unjustly discharged employees for engaging in union activities.

What example would be included in net exports?
inessss [21]

Answer:

sales of plywood to India

Explanation:

Hi,

Exports happen when items are sold (sales are made) across national boundaries to other countries. If the question in discussion is suppose talking about any country other than INDIA selling the plywood to India then it would be export (for eg USA selling it to India).

Purchases from across national boundaries are classified as imports. I am assuming the question in discussion is referring to USA as the mainland thus both the option about purchases would not be imports and thus would not factor into net export calculations.
