The slope of Line M (y = 2/3x - 3) is 2/3. To figure out the slope of Line N, you need to use the equation:
m =  \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Choose any two points on the table, I chose (-2, -2) and (4, 2). Plug in and solve:
m =  \frac{2-(-2)}{4-(-2)} = \frac{2+2}{4+2} =  \frac{4}{6} =  \frac{2}{3}

So, they do indeed have the same slope of 2/3. Therefore, the answer must be A.

If √7-3√5 = √x-√y, determine the value of x and y where x>y.
WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

x = 45

y = 7

Step-by-step explanation:

To obtain the value of x and y, do the following:

√7 – 3√5

Rearrange

– 3√5 + √7

Multiply through by –1

3√5 – √7 ... (1)

Express 3√5 as a single surd

3√5 = √(3 × 3 × 5)

3√5 = √45

Replace 3√5 with √45 in equation 1

3√5 – √7

√45 – √7

Comparing

√45 – √7 and √x – √y i.e

√45 – √7 = √x – √y

x = 45

y = 7
