What was the Underground Railroad? Your response needs to include and explain the terms conductor, lines, station, and freight.

The Underground Railroad is a secret passage way that helped slaves escape. The conductor would be the person that helped them escape. The lines would be the passage way the used to escape which to get from one safe house to another safe house. The station would represent the stops they took on their way while they were escaping. The freight would represent the people who were escaping.

the underground railroad was a network of secret routes and safe houses used by the 1900's slaves of African descent.

Conductor- An individual who escorted slaves between "stations" or safe houses.

Station- Hiding places in safe houses

Lines- A route slaves took north to freedom

Freight- Escaped slaves
