I would say that the word "glowering" in the sentence shows the best example of tone being used. The author didn't directly say that the older brother was angry, but set the mood or tone of that idea in the minds of the auidence by saying that he was "glowering". Hope this helped!

What are your thoughts about "arguments?" Let's start a discussion about arguments.
Nata [24]

Answer:

Arguments are good to tell someone how you feel. If it's an argument about something unnecessary like who gets to play the game first, its useless. Instead you should try a challenge. For example, rock paper scissors, or a thumb war.

Read the excerpt from Woman in the Nineteenth Century by Margaret Fuller. Yet, then and only then will mankind be ripe for this,
Natalka [10]

by insisting that everyone with a soul deserves rights

In the excerpt she says that "if the negro be a soul, if the woman be a soul...to one Master only are they accountable." Throughout the passage, Fuller uses various ways to insist that everyone deserves rights. She strengthens her arguments by comparing women's rights to those of the negro. She uses her arguments to show that if an African American should not be held in bondage, neither should a woman. It doesn't matter your race or gender, if you have a soul, you deserve the same rights as everyone else.
