5(7x - 15) + 2x ≥ 13x - 3 multiplied both sides by 2 to clear the denominator

35x - 75 + 2x ≥ 13 x - 3 distributed 5 into 7x-15

37x - 75 ≥ 13x - 3 added like terms (35x and 2x)

24x - 75 ≥ -3 subtracted 13x from both sides

24x ≥ 72 added 75 to both sides

x ≥ 3 divided both sides by 24

Answer: x ≥ 3 Notation: [3, ∞)

A state's recidivism rate is 22%. This means about 22% of released prisoners end up back in prison (within three years). Su
storchak [24]

The probability that both of them go back to prison is 4.48%.

What is probability?

  • Probability is a measure of the likelihood of an event occurring.
  • Many events cannot be predicted with total certainty.
  • We can predict only the chance of an event to occur i.e., how likely they are going to happen, using it.
  • The probability of an event is a number between 0 and 1, where, roughly speaking, 0 indicates the impossibility of the event and 1 indicates certainty.

The state recidivism rate is given by 22%.

So, the probability that both of the prisoners will go back to prison will be:

  • = 22% × 22%
  • = 0.22 × 0.22
  • = 4.84%

Hence, the probability that both of them go back to prison is 4.48%.

Lena’s guest house is 15 m long and 12 m wide how long is the diagonal of the house?
miv72 [106K]

imagine the diagonal of a rectangle being the split between two triangles. you are trying to find the longest side of the triangle, which is the "diagonal" of the rectangle.

to find the length of a side of a triangle, use the Pythagorean theorem. it is : a^2 + b^2 = c^2

so... plug in your data like this...

15^2 + 12^2= c^2.

225 + 144 = the square root of 369.

that is rounded to 19.2

this is just how I would solve this problem, if I helped you out please just let me know by voting me brainliest! Haha just kidding :)
