Answer:

B, C and E.

Step-by-step explanation:

y = 2/3 x.

B(0,0) is one point because when y = 0 , 0 = 2/3 x giving x = 0 *3/2 = 0.

We now try to see which other points fit the equation:

A (6,2): 2 = 2/3 * 6 = 4 so it's NOT A.

C (3,2): 2 = 2/3 * 3 = 2 So It is C.

D (-12,8) : 8 = 2/3 * -12 = -8 so its NOT D.

E. (-12,-8) -8 = 2/3 * -12 = -8 , So it is E.

A student solved the given equation and justified every step except one. What is the missing reason? A) Associative property of
Anna007 [38]

Given:

The statements and reasons to solve an equation.

To find:

The missing reason.

Solution:

If a, b and c are three real number, then

Associative property of addition : (a+b)+c=a+(b+c)

Commutative property of addition : a+b=b+a

Multiplicative property of equality : a=b\Leftrightarrow ca=cb

Distributive property of multiplication over addition : a(b+c)=ab+ac

In the given step, (x+-3)+3 is written as x+(-3+3).

It means, only parenthesis are changed, which is possible by Associative property of addition.

So, the missing reason is Associative property of addition.

Therefore, the correct option is A.

Help please
Please explain if possible.
RideAnS [48]
Answer:
12+(9+20)

(20+9)+12

9+(20+12)

(9+12)+20

Explanation:
The associative property of addition is saying that if three or more numbers are added, the answer won’t change if you add or move parentheses.

So if the question is 1+2+3, the answer will be the same even if you write it as (1+2)+3 or 1+(2+3) or 2+(1+3) and so on.

If n(A-B)=18,n(AuB)=70 and n(AnB)=25 then find n(B)
svp [43]

n(A-B) denotes elements which are in A but not in B

n(Au B) denotes elements in A and B

n(AnB) denotes elements that are common in A and B

Now I will add one more set

n(B-A) which denotes elements in B but not in A

So, n(AuB) = n(A-B) + n( B-A) +n(AnB)

70 = 18 +n(B-A) + 25

70 = 43 + n(B-A)

n(B-A) = 70-43

n(B-A) = 27

So, n(B) = n( B-A) + n( AnB)

= 27+25

= 52

2. William said that when you multiply three positive and negative decimals, the answer changes depending on where you place the
Pavlova-9 [17]
Yes it does due to the rules of PEMDAS. You have to do what is in the parentheses first so if you change whats in them, your going to get a different product
