What does it mean to say that there are different levels within a category? What arguments did Rosch present to support the idea

Answer:

Rosch had people list features of global, basic and specific categories. These categories are defined as 3, 9.3, 10.3 features respectively. The basic privileged is a big loss of information from basic to the global level but there is small gain from basic to the global level.  

The privileged categories are not for everyone. Only the expert prefers the specific category. There is an example such as w/ bird experts vs non-expert identifying pics of objects. The experts used the specific categories but the non-experts used the basic categories.
