The Dietary Reference Intake (DRI) is a system of nutrition recommendations from the Institute of Medicine of the National Academics. It provides reference values of nutrients in terms of Estimated Average Requirement (EAR), Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA), Adequate Intake (AI) and the Tolerable upper limit intake levels (UL).

Calcium is an important nutrient required for healthy bones and teeth. It is required for blood clotting, releasing hormones, transmission of nerve impulse and other functions of the body. The sources of calcium include the fortified cereals, tofu, milk powder, cheese, dried whey, fish, green leafy vegetables and others. For women and men in the age ranging from 19 to 50, the calcium DRI is 1000 milligrams per day.

densk [106]

The anterior rami of the brachial plexus are the continuations of the anterior rami of spinal nerves  C5-T1 . These rami emerge from the intervertebral foramina and travel through the neck. The five rami unite to form the superior, middle, and inferior trunks  in the posterior triangle of the neck. Nerves C5, C6 unite to form the superior trunk; nerve C7 remains as the middle trunk; and nerves C8,T1 unite to form the inferior trunk. Portions of each trunk divide deep to the clavicle into an anterior and a posterior division. These primarily contain axons that innervate the anterior and posterior parts of the upper limb. Upon reaching the axilla, they converge to form three cords.

What effect does the size of an amino acid on the retention factor?
Anarel [89]

According to proteomic data analysis, the N-terminus residues highly influence the retention of amino acids due to their role in ion-pairing. Every amino acid has a retention coefficient factor depending on the N-terminus residues it contains. Therefore, the longer the amino acid the higher the likelihood of it having high N-terminus residues and consequent high retention co-efficient.

In arteriosclerosis, overproduction of abnormal collagen and decreased quantities of elastin lead to what?
Tcecarenko [31]

In arteriosclerosis, overproduction of abnormal collagen and decreased quantities of elastin lead to Decreased coronary artery perfusion.

Arteriosclerosis is a condition in which the arteries, which transport oxygen and nutrients from the heart to the rest of the body, thicken and stiffen, often limiting blood flow to the organs and tissues. Flexible and elastic arteries indicate good health. However, the artery walls can stiffen over time, a phenomenon known as arterial hardening.

The accumulation of lipids, cholesterol, and other chemicals in and on the artery walls is known as atherosclerosis. The accumulation is known as plaque. Atherosclerosis can constrict the arteries and obstruct blood flow. The plaque may rupture and cause a blood clot.

Symptoms of arteriosclerosis:

  • chest pressure or discomfort (angina)
  • sudden numbness or weakness in the arms or legs.
  • speech slurs or speaking difficulties.
  • vision briefly lost in one eye.
  • weakened facial muscles
  • ache while walking.
  • elevated blood pressure
  • renal failure
