Three major issues activist for the civil rights spoke of were Freedom, equal access, and equal pay. Freedom was obviously a huge issue going on in the mid 20th century for black people they didn't want to have to fear of belonging to someone or being wrongfully persecuted. Equal access was another huge problem some states decided to give freedom to black people but they were unable to to school, grocery shopping, pick their seat on the bus or in a dinner. lastly would be equal pay though women still fight for equal pay today, it was a huge issue back then. Black people weren't getting  paid fairly even if they put in more work. Most of these issues are fixed today and they way activist of the civil rights movement achieved that was by protesting and creating marches like the selma march talking about their human right .they weren't quite they raised their voices even if it was dangerous they eventually were heard and laws were placed. Persuasion was used so that people could understand what they were going through. Lastly would be voting it helped black people have rights like sharing bathrooms, schools, buses, etc.
