Hey!

When you're dividing fractions, you have to keep, change, flip

Keep 3/4

Change ÷ to ×

Flip 1/8 = 8/1

That gives you:

\frac{3}{4} \times 8

<em>That means your answer is the 2nd choice</em>

Good luck and hope this helps! :)

for each x-y table given,copy the table, find the pattern and fill in the missing entries. Then write the rule for the pattern i
mash [69]

Answer:

  see the attached for the table and rules

Step-by-step explanation:

a) A graph of the given points shows they lie on the same line, one with a slope of 3 and a y-intercept of 2. Thus the rule is ...

  y = 3x +2

see the attachment for table values

__

b) The ratios of given points are all the same: y/x = 5/2, so that is the constant of proportionality:

  y = (5/2)x

see the attachment for table values

A cyclist travels 4 miles in 15 minutes and then a further 6 miles in 25 minutes without stopping.
Tcecarenko [31]

Total distance traveled = 4 + 6 = 10 miles

Total time = 15 + 25 = 40 minutes

Speed = 10 miles ÷ 40 minutes = 0.25 mph

Hello,

if the solution is infinite : the line x-3y=4 ,
so there is one line and not 2

==>x-3y=4 multiplied by 2

Suppose that the functions q and r are defined as follows.
satela [25.4K]

Answer:

(r o g)(2) = 4

(q o r)(2) = 14

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

g(x) = x^2 + 5

r(x) = \sqrt{x + 7}

Solving (a): (r o q)(2)

In function:

(r o g)(x) = r(g(x))

So, first we calculate g(2)

g(x) = x^2 + 5

g(2) = 2^2 + 5

g(2) = 4 + 5

g(2) = 9

Next, we calculate r(g(2))

Substitute 9 for g(2)in r(g(2))

r(q(2)) = r(9)

This gives:

r(x) = \sqrt{x + 7}

r(9) = \sqrt{9 +7{

r(9) = \sqrt{16}{

r(9) = 4

Hence:

(r o g)(2) = 4

Solving (b): (q o r)(2)

So, first we calculate r(2)

r(x) = \sqrt{x + 7}

r(2) = \sqrt{2 + 7}

r(2) = \sqrt{9}

r(2) = 3

Next, we calculate g(r(2))

Substitute 3 for r(2)in g(r(2))

g(r(2)) = g(3)

g(x) = x^2 + 5

g(3) = 3^2 + 5

g(3) = 9 + 5

g(3) = 14

Hence:

(q o r)(2) = 14
