Which one is greater 12/13 or 6/7 ?
yuradex [85]
Lets first convert these unlike fraction into like fractions....by taking their LCM and making their denominators same ..and then u can compare them .so LCM of 13 and 7 is 91..now we need to make both the fractions multiply with such a number which give the denominator 91
=>12/13=12/13 X 7 =84/91
=>6/7=6/7 X 13 =78/91
so the fractions are : 84/91 and 78/91
therefore : 84/91 > 78/91
           i.e, 12/13 > 6/7 ..
hence 12/13 is greater. ...

Hope it helps !!!
