The correct answer is B)answer questions about U.S. history and government. To become a naturalized citizen of the United States and to obtain an American passport, there are a set of rules and regulations to follow. One of them is learning history and government questions about the United States. This is usually given to applicants through a CD to which they can listen to, learn and practice in the weeks coming before the test. Most prospective citizens who speak English, but also who do not are equally given a language test to see how good their proficiency in English is. This is a relatively long process, but once people pass they receive an American passport, as well as a green card.

Nikitich [7]
The correct answer is D. The president of Egypt blocked Israeli ships from accessing the Suez Canal.

The president of Egypt announced that the Canal would no longer be neutral ground, open for all, and that it would slowly become nationalized and used to the benefit of Egypt. What caused relations between the United States and the Soviet Union to begin to change in the early 1980s? Check all that apply
Georgia [21]

You didn't list options, so I'll simply give some history here.

When President Ronald Reagan came into office in 1981, he took a hard stance toward the Soviet Union. Where previous leaders of the nations had pursued detente and nuclear arms reduction, Reagan spoke of the Soviet Union as the "evil empire" and, in 1983, proposed a major new space-based missile defense program, the Strategic Defense initiative.

But in 1985, the positions of the two countries began to shift again. In March 1985, Mikhail Gorbachev proposed policies of perestroika (restructuring) and glasnost (openness) in the Soviet Union. In November 1985, Reagan and Gorbachev met in person for the first of several summit meetings they would have, and developed a personal relationship.

In 1987, Reagan gave a speech in Berlin (a city divided between democratic West Berlin and communist East Berlin). In that speech he issued a famous personal appeal to Gorbachev, saying:

 • We welcome change and openness; for we believe that freedom and security go together, that the advance of human liberty can only strengthen the cause of world peace. There is one sign the Soviets can make that would be unmistakable, that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace. General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization, come here to this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!

ValentinkaMS [17]

The Bambuti most likely have a culture that is passed down from generation to generation.

Explanation:

 • Bambuti history is poorly known for its isolation.
 • Even mentioned by Homer in the Iliad, in the 8th century BC and they are known by the ancient Egyptians.
 • Europe's conquest of Africa will also begin the destruction of the rainforest in which their small communities live. They are hunters and gatherers.
 • They differ from all other neighboring nations in their language. The life span is quite short, and rarely when they are over 50 years old.
 • The forest is a major source of food for the Pygmy community.
