Remember that the subject is nosotros (we) and we would have to match the subject and the verb by conjugating the verb. A nosotros conjugation is always 'amos' in an ar verb.
It can be either "quería" or "quiero"
It depends on what do you want to say.
If you want to say "I wanted to go to the dance" use "quería"
If tou want to say "I want to go to the dance" use "quiero"
