The correct answer would be 23% because 28+34+40+22=124, and if you do the butterfly method you would multiply 28 by 100 and you get 2800 then divide that by 124 and you get 22.5% but since you have to round to the nearest percent it's 23%

vladimir1956 [14]

Answer:

He did not control for lurking variables and their impacts on the results of his experiment. Amount of sunlight and water received are two outside variables(or confounding variables) that may impact the growth of his plants and influence the results. He needs to apply the same amount of sunlight and water to each plant within a different planting soil in order to rule out the influence of those two variables and test the sole effect of the soil brand on the plant growth. Otherwise, it would be hard to determine whether his plant growth was because of the soil brand or the different amounts of sunlight and water received

A pair of jeans at a store in Seattle costs $220. Since the jeans are from last season, they are 15% off. Because of a Thanksgiv
Lostsunrise [7]

The total percent discount on the jeans is 35% amounting to $77

<h3>Discount</h3>

  • Cost of a pair of jean = $220

  • Discount from last season = 15%
  • Discount from Thanksgiving day = 20%

Total percentage discount = 15% + 20%

= 35%

Amount of discount = Total percentage discount × Cost of a pair of jean

= 35% × $220

= 0.35 × 220

= $77

Therefore, the total percent discount on the jeans is 35% amounting to $77

Is part A correct? Im not entirely sure about it and also what is part B???
meriva

Answer:

A) \frac{n^2}{2} + \frac{n}{2}

B) 78

Step-by-step explanation:

B) To find the sum of first 'n' whole numbers , formula used is :-

\frac{1}{2} ( n^2 + n)

We have to find the sum of first 12 whole numbers . So here n = 12

Putting the value of 'n' in above formula ,

\frac{1}{2} ( 12^2 + 12) \\\\=> \frac{1}{2} ( 144 + 12)\\\\=> \frac{156}{2} = 78

Calculate- (with work pleasee) i really need it !!<br> -0.2(x-20)=44-x
erica [24]

Answer:

x=50

Step-by-step explanation:

-0.2(x-20)=44-x

Distribute

-0.2x+4=44-x

Add x to each side

-.2x +4+x = 44-x+x

.8x+4 = 44

Subtract 4 from each side

.8x+4-4 = 44-4

.8x = 40

Divide each side by .8

.8x/.8 = 40/.8

x=50
