Answer:

The answer is 75 people get $25 gift cards.

Step-by-step explanation:

If there are 900 gift cars and 1/12 of them are worth $25, then you simply do 1/12 of 900. 1/12 of 900=75 (just do 900 divided by 12).

1/12 = 900/x
x=10,800
there are 10,800 people

but non of that matters because it literally tells you that they handed out 900 gift cards so 900 people got a gift card

Solve for q. -5(3-q) +4=5q-11
soldier1979 [14.2K]

Perform the indicated multiplication first:  -15 + 5q + 4 = 5q - 11

Note that 5q appears on both sides of this equation.  Cancelling, we get :

-11 = -11.  This is always true.  Thus, -5(3-q) +4=5q-11 is true for all q.

The cost of a jacket increased from $85.00 to $94.35. What is the percentage increase of the cost of the jacket?
Serggg [28]
It's an 11% increase. To find this,  you have to subtract 85 from 94.35 and then you divide that difference by the original amount. In this case it's 85. After that, you get .11. Then you just turn it into a percent.
