Describe the difference between plots that show a strong correlation and plots that show a weak correlation.
GalinKa [24]

The data points are a little closer for a weak correlation, and you can see that there is some sort of relationship between these factors.

Data points for a strong correlation are in close proximity to one another, making it possible to build a line by imitating their pattern.

A statistic called correlation gauges how much two variables change in connection to one another.

Correlation and diversification, the idea that certain types of risk can be reduced by investing in assets that are not connected, are closely related concepts.

Correlation cannot determine whether x causes y or vice versa, or whether a third component is responsible for the association.

A scatter plot may make it easier to spot correlation, particularly when the variables have a non-linear but nevertheless significant association.

Each side of an equilateral triangle measures 9cm. Find the height, h, of the triangle.
kvv77 [185]
You can make the equilateral triangle into a right triangle by cutting it in half. So, your sides would be 4.5, 9, and x.
Using Pythagorean Theorem, you know that a^2 + b^2 = c^2.

The 'a' would be equal to 9, and 9^2 is equal to 81.

B is equal to 4.5, and 4.5^2 is 20.25.

So, you have the following:

81 + 20.25 = c^2

And that makes 'c' equal to 101.25.
The square root of 101.25 is approximately equal to 10.06.

So now you know the height, 10.06.

The diagonal of the rectangle is 13 inches, and the side lengths of the triangles are Pythagorean triples. To the nearest tenth,
frosja888 [35]
1) A Pythagorean triples is a set of three integers, a, b, c,  that follow the rule a^2 + b^2 = c^2

2) Assumin c is the diagonal of your rectangle and the hypotenuse of the triangles, you are looking this:

13^2 = a^2 + b^2

=> 169 = a^2 + b^2

Two integer numbers that meet that equality are 5 and 12:

5^2 = 25
12^2 = 144
=> 5^2 + 12^2 = 25 + 144 = 169

 => 13^2 = 5^2 + 12^2

Now that you have the three numbers you know the dimensions of the figure and can calculate the area of the shaded part. I cannot do that for you becasue you did not include the figure.
