Basically it means that the media loves violence. television, radio, and film will for the most part have much higher ratings if it's about a bunch of people getting murdered rather than something nice, like somebody saving a cat from a tree. ultimately, it's just a statement about america's fascination with violence. Sad but true... meaning.

Alex

Answer: d. A statement that the financial statements are the responsibility of the client's management

Explanation:

The new reporting standard (AS 3101) requires auditor's opinion on the financial statements to be moved to the first paragraph of the Audit report, Requires the Auditor to use section titles to identify and highlight important information, Requires an Auditor to provide a clear clarification that the audit scope includes notes to the financial statement, and also the Auditor is required to disclose the year they began serving consecutively as the company's auditors.

The phone bill for a corporation consists of both fixed and variable costs. Refer to the four-month data below and apply the h
tatiyna

Answer:

$3,799

Explanation:

The total bill amount is

Before that The computation of the fixed cost and the variable cost per minute by using high low method is computed

Variable cost per minute = (High bill cost - low bill cost) ÷ (High minutes - low minutes)

= ($4,500 - $2,630) ÷ (480 - 160)

= $1,870 ÷ 320

= $5.84

Now the fixed cost equal to

= High bill cost - (High minutes × Variable cost per minute)

= $4,500 - (480 × $5.84)

= $4,500 - $2,803

= $1,697

Now the total bill would be

= Fixed cost + expected minutes × variable cost per minutes

= $1,697 + 360 × $5.84

= $1,697 + $2,102

= $3,799

Before the last presidential debates, 50% of registered votes indicated they were planning to vote for the incumbent president.
MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

a) H₀ : p = 0.5

H_{a} : p > 0.5

b) z = 2.0785

c) p - value = 0.0188

d) Our conclusion is that there has been a significant increase in the proportion of registered voters who are planning to vote for the incumbent president

Explanation:

Probability of those planning to vote for the incumbent president before the debate, P₀ = 50/100 = 0.5

a) The null and the alternative hypothesis

Let the null hypothesis be represented by H_{0}

and the alternative hypothesis be represented by H_{a}

H₀ : p = 0.5

H_{a} : p > 0.5

b) compute the test statistics

sample size, n = 1200

number of voters planning to vote for the incumbent president, x = 636

Probability of those planning to vote for the incumbent president in the selected sample:

\bar{p} = x/n\\\bar{p} = 636/1200\\\bar{p} = 0.53

Formula for the test statistic:

z = \frac{\bar{p} - p_{0} }{\sqrt{\frac{p_{0}(1-p_{0} ) }{n} } }

z = \frac{0.53 - 0.5 }{\sqrt{\frac{0.5(1-0.5 ) }{1200} } }

z = 2.0785

c)

For \alpha = 0.05\\, the critical value as checked from the normal table will be:

z_{\alpha} = 1.645

The P value for z > 2.0785

P-value = P(z > 2.0785) \\P - value = \phi (-2.0785)\\P - value = 0.0188

d) What do you conclude?

since ( z = 2.0785) > (z_{\alpha} = 1.645), we will reject the null hypothesis.

Our conclusion is that there has been a significant increase in the proportion of registered voters who are planning to vote for the incumbent president
