The Americans view African Americans as slaves and good for nothing but this time period proved that African Americans had amazing talents in the art, music, and literature.

Further Explanation:

During the period of Harlem Renaissance, The interest in black heritage corresponded with the attempts to define the American culture which was different from that of Europe. The concept of cultural pluralism motivated notions of the United States as a new kind of notion and according to that, diverse cultures should develop parallel to each other.

This judgment started with spread of African American music and this was unexpected and especially blues and jazz as it soon became a worldwide sensation within a small period of time. Black music was the reason that provided the pulse to the Harlem Renaissance and that was related to the Jazz age more. During the same period of time, there were different forms of cultural-pluralist which took hold and because of that, there was the development of American arts along with literature.

The Harlem Reinaissance was a cultural, intellectual and social movement developed in the decade of the 1920s in New York. It importance relies on the fact that it was considered the rebirth of African American cultural expressions. The so-called negro culture acquired great popularity.

Through the movement, African Americans who participated on it felt empowered again after a very long time, and found the strength to fight against constant discriminations and racist manifestations in everyday life.
