The correct answer is D
(any fraction) * (any decimal) = rational answer
For example: (3/5) * 0.11111(1)= rational
PS: any fraction is a rational number if a nominator is an integer and a denominator is a natural number

\sf{Given : 3tanx + 7 = \dfrac{2}{(1 - sinx)(1 + sinx)}}

We know that : (a - b)(a + b) = a² - b²

\implies \sf{3tanx + 7 = \dfrac{2}{1 - sin^2x}}

We know that : 1 - sin²x = cos²x

\implies \sf{3tanx + 7 = \dfrac{2}{cos^2x}}

\sf{\bigstar \ \ We \ know \ that : \boxed{\sf{\dfrac{1}{cos^2x} = sec^2x}}}

\implies \sf{3tanx + 7 = 2sec^2x}

We know that : sec²x = 1 + tan²x

\implies \sf{3tanx + 7 =2(1 + tan^2x)}

\implies \sf{2 + 2tan^2x - 3 tanx - 7 = 0}

\implies \sf{2tan^2x - 3 tanx - 5 = 0}

\implies \sf{2tan^2x -  5tanx + 2tanx - 5 = 0}

\implies \sf{2tanx(tanx + 1) - 5(tanx + 1) = 0}

\implies \sf{(tanx + 1)(2tanx - 5) = 0}

\implies \sf{tanx = -1 \ (or) \ tanx = \dfrac{5}{2} }

A parabola has a focus of F(2, -0.5) and a directrix of y=-1.5 P(x,y) represents any point on the parabola, while D(x, -1.5) rep
prohojiy [21]
The sketch of the parabola is attached below

We have the focus (a,b) = (2, -0.5)
The point P(x,y)
The directrix, c at y=-1.5

The steps to find the equation of the parabola are as follows

Step 1
Find the distance between the focus and the point P using Pythagoras. We have two coordinates; (2, -0.5) and (x,y).
We need the vertical and horizontal distances to find the hypotenuse (the diagram is shown in the second diagram).
The distance between the focus and point P is given by
\sqrt{ (x-a)^{2}+ (y-b)^{2} }

Step 2
Find the distance between the point P to the directrix c. It is a vertical distance between y and c, expressed as y-c

Step 3
The equation of parabola is then given as
\sqrt{ (x-a)^{2}+ (y-b)^{2} }=y-c
(x-a)^{2}+ (y-b)^{2}= (y-c)^{2} ⇒ substituting a, b and c
(x-2)^{2}+ (y--0.5)^{2}  = (y--1.5)^{2}
(x-2)^{2}+ (y+0.5)^{2}= (y+1.5)^{2}⇒Rearranging and making y the subject gives

y= \frac{ x^{2} }{2} -2x+1

52/500

56/500 e.g. 56*2 = 112 now take 1 decimal so it is 11.2%

now divide each by 20

Find all complex numbers $z$ such that $z^4 = -4.$
patriot [66]

Converting -4 to polar form gives -4=4\exp(i\pi).

Then the 4th roots of -4 would be the numbers

4^{1/4}\exp\left(i\dfrac{\pi+2k\pi}4\right)

where <em>k</em> is taken from {0, 1, 2, 3}.

So we have

z_1=4^{1/4}\exp\left(\dfrac{i\pi}4\right)=\sqrt2\left(\cos\dfrac\pi4+i\sin\dfrac\pi4\right)=1+i

z_2=\sqrt2\left(\cos\dfrac{3\pi}4+i\sin\dfrac{3\pi}4\right)=-1+i

z_3=\sqrt2\left(\cos\dfrac{5\pi}4+i\sin\dfrac{5\pi}4\right)=-1-i

z_4=\sqrt2\left(\cos\dfrac{7\pi}4+i\sin\dfrac{7\pi}4\right)=1-i
