The major tenets of John F. Kennedy's presidential platform were the following.

One of the most important tenets was "get America moving again." This was an important tenet of his platform because Kennedy considered that the Republicans and former President Eisenhower could not do much against the Soviet Union in the Cold War, the arms race, and the space race. The Encomienda system was a labor and slavery system mainly used in South and Central America during the colonization period. This system implied families or groups of indigenous people were assigned land by European colonizers. Moreover, natives grew crops and took care of the land, which benefited mainly Europeans and in exchange, natives were instructed about catholicism.
