The similarity of transfix and stare is the way they view a certain thing, scenery or person or in other words, the way they are being act out.

The difference between the two is that, transfix is a way of having to act out motionless while the stare is a way of just looking something in a more fixed manner.

Which lines in this excerpt from act I of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet suggest that Lord Capulet respects free will? CAPULET:
dedylja [7]
When he says "My will to her consent is but a part; An she agree, within her scope of choice Lies my consent and fair according voice." He is saying here that his consent to Juliet and Paris' marriage is "but a part" of the decision, so he believes that her choice is also needed. He says that, while his "consent and fair according voice" may play a part in her choice, she still has a choice, free will.
