How many hours did it take him to finish the project?

First, find 20% of 5 hours. 20% is also 1/5 of something, and 1/5 of 5 is 1.
Multiply 5 by 3 for the 300%, getting 15 hours, and add 1 for the 20%.
He spent 16 hours on the project. Hope this helps!

Solve the system of equations by graphing. x+y=-9 4x+y=-19
shutvik [7]

For this case we have the following system of equations:

x + y = -9\\4x + y = -19

We multiply the first equation by -4:

-4x-4y = 36

We have the following equivalent system of equations:

-4x-4y = 36\\4x + y = -19

We add the equations:

-4x + 4x-4y + y = 36-19\\-3y = 17\\y = - \frac {17} {3}

We find the value of the variable "x":

x = -9-yx = -9 - (- \frac {17} {3})\\x = -9 + \frac {17} {3}\\x = \frac {-27 + 17} {3}\\x = - \frac {10} {3}

Thus, the solution of the system is:

(x, y): (- \frac {10} {3}, - \frac {17} {3})

See the graphic in the attached image

ANswer:

(x, y): (- \frac {10} {3}, - \frac {17} {3})

In New York, an Uber costs $15 plus $1.84 per mile. If you are traveling from the airport, there is an additional charge of $7.9
belka [17]

Answer: C; 12 miles

Solution:

1) Add the initial Uber cost ($15) and airport toll charge:

$22.95

2) Subtract 22.95 from 45.84

$22.89 to spend on miles

3) Divide 1.84 (cost per mile) from 22.89

≈ 12.44 miles

Round down to 12 miles or option C

Use the scenario and elimination by multiplication to answer the question.
SVEN [57.7K]
Answer:
C
Explanation:
You could solve this in the elimination way that I have been done in here.

I use Jason as an example that he paid $11.84 for 5t ( tacos ) + 1q ( quesadilla )
Therefore we could do the elimination if the taco cost 3.45 x 5 = 17.25, would be over the cost.

-> Cross B answer

Then we take 1.57 x 5 = 7.85. 11.84 - 7.85 = 3.99, which it is not 3.39 => Cross D answer.

Therefore the cost of tacos need to be 1.69 because there have been a repetition in both A& C

1.69 x 5 = 8.45. $11.84 - 8.45 = $3.39 for quesadillas.

Which it proves for the answer is C
