Excerpt from Does My Head Look Big in This?:
sdas [7]

Answer:

The correct asnwer is Amal is not ashamed of her wealth, but Marjane is.

Explanation:

"Does my head look big in this?" is a book written by Randa Abdel-Fattas and it is about the conflict of Amal Mohamed Nasrullah Abdel-Hakim and her own identity as Muslim and Aussie. "Persepolis" is a graphic novel written and drawn by Marjane Satrapi, who narrates different stages of her life, from the Islamic Revolution in Teheran to her adulthood in Europe and the difficult transtion.

In both excerpts we can see how the characters notice their differences, Amal describes several ways she's been marked and Marjane knows her family is wealthy. It also seems both of them care about appearences in one way or another (the clothes, the Cadillac), and both are facing and identity conflict (from religion to economics), making letter B correct, since we can see in the excertp that Marjane is ashamed of her father's car, since ir is a sign of why people were unhappy; on the other hand, Amal mentions things like the Gucci shades as if they were nothing since her conflict is different.

As a captain of the school football team write a speech in about150 words to be delivered at the reception of the winning team t
Ymorist [56]

Good Morning Ladies and gentlemen, First of all I would like to thank God for this victory, then I would like to thank to our coach Mr. Paul, and last but not the least my team who played so well that today we can stand tall, their efforts are appreciated, a motivated team like this can even win International competitions. However securing a national award is also a great victory for the entire school.

There were times when the team was demotivated, was lacking skills but practice! it makes the player perfect, we practised day and night for the competition and I am glad that our hard work paid off and we won national award.

In the end I would like to appreciate and thank our entire football team, including Mr. Paul our coach. And all of you for your prayers.

Thank you

Which sentence has a subject-verb agreement error?
pychu [463]
B) Neither the coach nor his players knows whether or not this season will end in a championship ring or not.

This sentence is incorrect. The subject of the sentence is neither the coach nor his players. The verb that doesn't agree is knows. Knows agrees with a singular subject. The subject is plural. When the coordinating conjunction neither nor is used, the verb must agree with the option closest to the verb - in this case players. Players is a plural subject so knows should be know.

Jeremy is making a 665 mile trip. He drives for 5 hours at 55 mph. What is the average rate of speed he must drive to complete t
Vesna [10]

Answer:the formula to calculate average speed is :

average speed= total distance/elapsed time .

He drives 5 hours at 55 mph so we need to calculate first how far or the distance he has driven at the moment hence from the above formula d= rt ( r stand for speed and t stand for time while d stand for the distance)

d=rt

d= 55*5= 275 mph this is how far he has driven at the moment.

So to see how many miles left we subtract the miles he has covered to the total miles he has to cover ;

d =665-275= 390

He also want to cover this trip in 11 hours but he has already driven for 5 hours hence time= 11 - 5 = 6 hours left

So now we have d= 390 and t = 6

So now using the same formula we now need to find the average speed which is ' r' in the formula

d = rt

390=r*6

390/6=r

r = 65mph

hence he will have to drive 65 mph to complete his trip in 11 hours.
