Answer: A independent variable is one that you can change, and cause a response in a dependent variable.

For example, the time that some food is in the microwave will affect the temperature of it, and you can set the time, but in this case you can't "reverse", because you cant set the temperature.

But suppose you have a experimental microwave, in which you can set a time and the temperature will depend on the time, or you can set the desired temperature of the dish inside and the microwave sets the time in function of that, in this case the variables are reversible.

Other example, if you have a cellular phone, you can play with it for some time and see how is the change in the battery (where time is the independent and battery the dependent). Or play with ir until the battery is half charged and then measure the time you played (the charge of the battery is the independent and the time is the dependent) And the slope goes from "how much battery consumes in function of time" to "How much time is needed to consume a percentage of battery"

The numbers of calories per serving for various snakes foods are listed below.
Elanso [62]

Answer:

B. 108 calories

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean number of a data set is

\text{Mean}=\dfrac{\text{The sum of all calories in products}}{\text{The number of products}}

Corn chips: 230 calories

Popcorn: 25 calories

Potato chips: 115 calories

Pretzels: 62 calories

Thus,

The sum of all calories =230+25+115+62=432

The number of productrs = 4

The mean number of calories =\dfrac{432}{4}=108

(iii) A relation between a and b such that point (a,b) isequidistant from the points (8,3) and (2,7)
RUDIKE [14]

Answer:

7.21 units

Step-by-step explanation:

GIven data

Point 1= (8,3)

x1= 8

y1= 3

Point 2=  (2,7)

x2= 2

y2= 7

The expression for the distance between two points is given as

d=√((x_2-x_1)²+(y_2-y_1)²)

substitute

d=√((2-8)²+(7-3)²)

d=√((-6)²+(4)²)

d=√36+16

d=√52

d= 7.21

Hence the distance between the points is 7.21 units
