MArishka [77]

Answer:

The government should regulate what people eat and drink because of obesity and THE REGULATIONS CAN PROMOTE A HEALTHIER AMERICA.

Obesity is a worldwide problem and many people overlook how dangerous it really is, because of this the government should regulate what people eat and drink.According to Source 1, Dr. Steven Safyer, President and CEO of Montefiore Medical Center,“For the past several years, I’ve seen the number of children and adults struggling with obesity skyrocket, putting them at early risk of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer” (Jaslow, 9). In other words, Children and adults are struggling with obesity which is putting them at risk for diabetes and heart disease and cancer. If we continue to be able to pick our own food and drinks we are Liable to harm ourselves. the government regulating what we eat will also be impactful for people who can't help but want to better themselves.

Although local people argue that “We are smart enough to make our own decisions about what to eat and drink,” it can be argued that Government officials just want people healthier so the risk of diabetes, cancers and others won't happen rather than people being at risk to die instead. One example from the passage is Nutritionist Karen Congro, director of the Wellness for Life Program at the Brooklyn Hospital Center “Unless they get the educational portion along with it, they won’t understand why it’s being banned and how it relates to them personally,” ( Jaslow 10). This suggests that if the government doesn't regulate people well never understand the risk there putting themselves at. People would still have the right to choose, govrnment regulation would just make the default choice a healthy one.

Also, the government should regulate what people eat and drink because THE REGULATIONS CAN PROMOTE A HEALTHIER AMERICA. “For the past several years, I’ve seen the number of children and adults struggling with obesity skyrocket, putting them at early risk of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer, Dr. Steven Safyer, President and CEO of Montefiore Medical Center, said in an emailed statement to CBSNews.comThis policy is a great step in the battle to turn this health crisis around.”( Jaslow 9) This shows how if the government dosent put up the law people will comtinue to get hurt and people will stay sick.

According to Source 2 “You may not care whether sodas are bad for health, but plenty of other people do. These include, among others, officials who must spend taxpayer dollars to care for the health of people with obesity-related chronic illnesses, employers dealing with a chronically ill workforce, the parents and teachers of overweight children, dentists who treat tooth decay, and a military desperate for recruits who can meet fitness standards”(Nestle 17) However , soda isnt the only culpret for obbesty but it is one that need to be focused on.

Inconclusion , the government should regulate what people eat and drink because of obesity and THE REGULATIONS CAN PROMOTE A HEALTHIER AMERICA.

Read Shakespeare's "Sonnet LV"
creativ13 [48]

The subject of the poem will "live" so long because his existence will be immortalized by the poem itself, since people will read about and remember him.

What is the poem about?

"Sonnet LV" is a poem by Shakespeare that has as its themes immortality and time. The speaker in the poem seems to be addressing a young man, telling him that he will live a long life.

What the speaker means is that, even as time passes and other things fall to ruins, the young man's life will be immortalized. As long as people read about him in this poem, they will remember he existed. Therefore, he will "live" in people's memories.

With the information above in mind, we can conclude that the answer provided above is correct.
