Answer with explanation:

It is given that all lines in the graph given , passes through Origin.

Equation of line passing through origin

  y = m x

⇒m = Tan A, where ,A is angle made by line with positive direction of X axis.

If line is Parallel to X axis, it means , Slope = 0,because , Tan 0°=0

As, distance from positive side of X axis increases, the value of Tan A , increases so , if distance of line from positive direction of X axis increases, value of slope increases.

tan 45°=1

So, line which will make angle greater than 45°,with positive direction of X axis and less than 64°,will have slope between 1 and 2.Because,tan 45°=1,and Tan 64°=2.0403

Slope of line passing through two points, (a,b) and (p,q), is given by

 m=\frac{q-b}{p-a}\\\\ \text Line 1=\frac{6-0}{2-0}\\\\=3\\\\ \text Line 2=\frac{6-0}{3-0}\\\\=2\\\\ \text Line 3=\frac{6-0}{4-0}\\\\=1.5\\\\ \text Line 4=\frac{6-0}{5-0}\\\\=1.2\\\\ \text Line5=\frac{6-0}{6-0}\\\\=1

Line 3 and 4 has slope between 1 and 2.

It is lines 3 and 4. Line 1 has a slope of 3, line 2 has a slope of 2, and line 5 has a slope of three. So the only lines with a slope between 1 and 2 are lines 3 and 4.

The low temperature (in degrees Fahrenheit) for one week in Minneapolis, MN were Mon Tue Wed Thur Fri Sat Sun –6 –4 –5 2 0 3 –7
Alika [10]
Part A : You want to arrange the larger negative numbers to the left, so the number farthest left would be -7, followed by -6, -5, -4, and then 0. Then 2 is next, followed by 3. So the answer would be : -7, -6, -5, -4, 0, 2, 3.

Part B : So on that day on January, it's saying the Minnesota's degree was -14 degrees Fahrenheit and New York was -5. And he's saying that New York is colder. This is incorrect because people often make this mistake when working with negative numbers. Think of the numbers on a number line, on the negative side, the farther you are away from zero, the colder it will be. The closer you are to zero on the negative side, the less colder it'll be. On the positive side, the farther you are away from zero, the hotter it will be. The closer you are to zero on the positive side, the more warmer, this is why he is incorrect.

Part C : It would be -61 degrees Fahrenheit, because as I mentioned earlier, the farther you are away from zero on the negative side, the colder it'll be.

There are white, and red boats in a marina. Two-thirds of the boats in the marina are white, 4/7 of the remaining boats are blue
Over [174]

Answer:

105 boats

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the total number of boats in the marina.

If Two-thirds of the boats in the marina are white.

Fraction of the remaining boat= 1-⅔ =⅓

4/7 of the remaining boats are blue.

4/7 of ⅓ are blue

4/7 X ⅓ = 4/21 are blue

Fraction of Red Boats =

1-(Proportion of white Boats +Proportion of Blue Boats)

= 1-(2/3+4/21)=1/7

If there are 15 red boats,

1/7 of the total boats =15

1/7 X x=15

x=15X7

x=105

There are 105 boats in total on the marina
