Which of these endings will not create parallel structure for the following sentence stem?

English

The correct answer is C. Thought about the book

Explanation:

A parallel structure refers to a type of grammatical structure in which elements of the same importance are presented using the same grammatical form or pattern in a sentence. In the sentence stem presented "He was sitting, reading, and..." there is a repetition "-ing" or gerund forms and therefore parallelism can be created if the last element includes this grammatical pattern. This means, adding planning, considering or eating would create parallelism, but adding a "thought about the book" does not create parallelism because this breaks with the repetition of the same grammatical structure that is necessary for parallelism.

What is a theme of 'The Girl Who Threw Butterflies'? Use two details from the story to support your answer.
inn [45]

Answer:

The theme of "The Girl Who Threw Butterflies" is self-confidence and self-trust.

Explanation:

"The Girl Who Threw Butterflies" is a novel written by Mick Cochrane. The novel is about a young girl named Molly Williams, an eighth-grader, who has lost her father in a car accident.

Molly doesn't want to be seen with sympathetic eyes by people, conveying the message "Oh! Poor girl, she has lost her father", rather she wanted to be known more than that. Molly with this desire in her heart joins the boys' baseball team. The theme of the novel is self-confidence and self-trust. This theme is evident when Molly tries to persuade her mother and everyone that she can play and compete with the boys in the baseball team. But her mother was unsure if she could play baseball with boys. Another evidence is when Molly tries to get into the boys' baseball team and her trial was taken, every boy thought that Molly won't be able to make it up to the team and that she can only play <em>girls softball. </em>But in Chapter 13 we can see that how Molly was able to make herself a place in the team and was selected.

<em>"She took a deep breath and then looked. There it was, at the very bottom of the list, the very last name: Molly Williams."</em>

Answer:original answers

Explanation:

Geographically, we may see the continent as one lump of the earth map placed in-between the Atlantic sea on the region and Asian sea on Asia; Southern sea in the lower extreme and the Arabian Peninsula on the North East, and European continent on the Northwest. Beyond this classification, Africa can be seen as the geographic place which harbors the world hitherto largest black competition. Likewise, in the law on which the human Union (AU ) is established, Africa is seen as a continent containing the 53 countries formally recognized by the UN. In whichever way it is set, our significant share here is the intellect of continent which captures this political history and picture which by meaning, locate their position and level of participation in the global concept of democratic governance.
