Naval Strategy: The German's use of unrestricted submarine warfare had rought havoc on allied ships. The U.S. established the use of convoys to fight against the German u-boats American troops: the number of allied troops was beginning to dwindle. Many believed the U.S. troops could not make a difference. However, German and other Central Power troops were also decreasing in numbers. All either side of the war needed were more troops (not necessarily better troops) to tip the scales of victory in their favor. The U.S. offered more troops which caused their numbers to exceed what was left of the German army. American supplies: the Allied powers in Europe were beginning to run out of supplies (it was hard to get trade ships through the u-boat blockade). When America joined the war she brought with her food, weapons, ammunition, etc. that had been produced in large quantities in the U.S. (** This excessive industrial production leads to overproduction at the wars end and eventually the Great Depression for farmers especially**)

All of the following are true of the Industrial Revolution EXCEPT *
ElenaW [278]

Answer:D)Industrialization happened nearly simultaneously in most areas of the world in the 18th century .

Explanation:

This statement is incorrect. The industrial revolution did not go smoothly. It primarily occurred in England and the United States and then spread to Europe. Of the other European countries except for Great Britain, the Industrial Revolution initially developed in the German countries, France, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. Some countries were very late in involving industrial flows due to economic reasons and the lack of skilled labor. That was the case in Europe with some Balkan countries, but also with most third world countries

Anastasy [175]

Answer:

It was a protest against the sanctions placed on the caliph and the Ottoman Empire after the First World War by the Treaty of Sèvres. How did mercantilism increase the likelihood of conflicts between European powers?
Ksenya-84 [330]

The main way in which mercantilism increased the likelihood of conflicts between European powers was that it led to dispute over who could trade where, and disputes over the trade agreements themselves, since every country wanted the "best deal".
