Hi,

To find out with ramp is higher we need to put given fractions in decimal form.

2 \frac{3}{8}  = 2.375 \\ 2 \frac{2}{5}  = 2.400

In this case friend's ramp is higher.

Hope this helps.

cupoosta [38]

The relative frequency of selecting a diamond from 40 trials of selecting a random card is 30%.

<h3>What is relative frequency?</h3>

The relative frequency of an event is the ratio of total number of favorable or desired outcome to the total number of trails done.

Given information-

The card is selected random from the deck of cards.

Total number of trails is 40.

It is known that the total number of diamond card in a standard deck of card is 11. There is total 40 trials is done in which a random card is selected.

As the relative frequency is the ratio of total number of diamonds to the total number of trials done. Thus,

f_r=\dfrac{11}{40}\\f_r=0.3

In the percentage from,

f_r={0.3}\times100\\f_r=30

Thus the relative frequency of selecting a diamond from 40 trials of selecting a random card is 30%.

PLEASE HELP ASAP!!! I don’t know how to do this problem or where to start! How do I solve this?
Leto [7]

Answer:

W = 4.95

Step-by-step explanation:

You want to start by writing down what you know, and forming a system of equations.

L= length W= width

2L+2W=14.7

L= 2.4

On the left side of the equation, you're adding all your side lengths, and on the right, is the total perimeter. (Also could be written L+L+W+W = 14.7)

You would then substitute L from the bottom equation into the top equation to get:

2(2.4) +2W=14.7

Solving:

4.8+2w=14.7

W= 4.95

To check your answer simply add all the sides together and make sure it equals your perimeter. You can also plug W and L back into the original equation.
