Factor out 3x. In other words, divide each term by 3x.

21x^3 + 18x^2 + 9x

Note: instead of dividing by 3x you can split it up; divide by 3 and then divide by x.

21x^3 / 3 = 7x^3
7x^3 / x = 7x^2

18x^2 / 3 = 6x^2
6x^2 / x = 6x

9x / 3 = 3x
3x / x = 3

A. 7x^2 + 6x + 3

The city is planning to add a fish pond to a neighborhood park. The figure below is a drawing of the fish pond. Its scale is 1/2
faust18 [17]

Answer:

Part a) The area of the actual fish pond is 2,956.50\ ft^{2}

Part b) The length of the fence will be 244.20\ ft

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The scale drawing is

\frac{(1/2)}{15}\frac{in}{ft}=\frac{1}{30}\frac{in}{ft}

step 1

Find the actual dimensions of the fish pond

To find the actual dimensions divide the measure of the drawing by the scale drawing

0.5\ in=0.5/(1/30)=15\ ft

1\ in=1/(1/30)=30\ ft

2.5\ in=2.5/(1/30)=75\ ft

step 2

Find the area of the actual fish pond

The area of the fish pond is equal to the area of a circle p[lus the area of rectangle

A=\pi r^{2} +bh

we have

r=15\ ft

b=75\ ft

h=30\ ft

substitute

A=(3.14)(15)^{2} +(75)(30)=2,956.50\ ft^{2}

step 3

Find the length of the fence around the entire fish pond

The perimeter of the fish pond is equal to the circumference of a complete circle plus the length of 75 ft two times

so

P=2\pir+2(75)

we have

r=15\ ft

substitute

P=2(3.14)(15)+2(75)=244.20\ ft

Please solve this for me!
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

  y = -1/6x +2

Step-by-step explanation:

The black vertical line in the middle of the graph is the y-axis. The blue line crosses it a the point marked 2. This is known as the y-intercept.

The slope of the line is the ratio of "rise" (vertical change) to "run" (horizontal change).

There is a marked point on the line at the y-intercept, where x=0 and y=2. There is another marked point to the right of that, where x=6 and y=1.

The vertical change between those two points is 1 -2 = -1.

The horizontal change between those two points is 6 -0 = 6

The slope is then -1/6.

__

The slope-intercept form of the equation of a line is often written as ...

   y = mx + b

where "m" is the slope (-1/6), and "b" is the y-intercept.

Using the values we found above, the equation of the line is ...

  y = -1/6x +2

(01.01 LC)A dancer took forward and backward steps of equal length during a dance. After taking 16 steps total, she was back at
Gennadij [26K]

Since the steps are the same size, and she ended up where she started, she must have taken the same number of steps forward as she took backward.

16/2 = 8

She took 8 steps forward and 8 steps backward.
