I most definitely believe it did help. Being young you often have a big imaginiation, big ambitions, hopes, and dreams. When people are older they unfortunatly lose hope in the world because of having gone through so much failure. Anne Frank's young age probably allowed her to have an immense amount of hope for the future and that things will get better.
