Answer:

In photosynthesis, water is photolyzed to produce free electrons, hydrogen ions, and oxygen. It takes place in the granum of the chloroplast.

Oxygen is released as the byproduct.

Hydrogen ions are transported to inter-membrane space which helps in chemiosmosis.

Free electrons are used to restore the electrons lost from the photosystem II.

In the chemical process of photosynthesis, water acts as an electron donor.

Further Explanation:

Photosynthesis starts with the absorption of solar or light energy by the plant pigments called chlorophyll. The activated chlorophyll molecule helps in the electron transfer from one acceptor to another forming a chain. Photosynthesis is an anabolic process.

In photosynthesis reaction, glucose and oxygen produce with the help of water, carbon dioxide and sunlight. In the photosynthesis reaction, six molecules of carbon dioxide and six molecules of water react in the presence of the sunlight to make one glucose molecule and the six molecules of oxygen are also produced. The major function of water is to release molecule of oxygen from water into the environment in the form of oxygen gas. Water is breakdown and produces electrons which required to starts the photosystem. It also helps in reducing the NADP to NADPH through photolysis of water.

The photosynthesis reaction is mainly divided into two phases which are:

Light-dependent phase: In this phase, the absorbed light is utilized to produce molecules which carry energy that is used in the second phase of the reaction to form carbohydrates by reducing carbon dioxide

Light-independent phase: This process utilizes the products formed through the light-dependent phase

Summarize the bonding properties of carbon
notka56 [123]
Well, Carbon has 4 Valence Electrons. I'm sure you know this, but valance electrons allow electrons to covalently bond with one another. The elements, when sharing the electrons, want to have 8 valance electrons. So carbon has 4 valance electrons so it can bond with itself, or another say 4 hydrogen [becuase hydrogen can live with 2 valance electrons]. Hope this helps. Remember: Electrons <3 8 valance electron bonds Carbon's 4 + Carbon's 4= 8 true love at first bond! OR Carbon's 4+ Hydrogen's 1 [x4] = 8 hope this help

What two substances are the ingredients of cellular respiration and the products of photosynthesis?
solong [7]

Answer: Photosynthesis converts carbon dioxide and water into oxygen and glucose. Glucose is used as food by the plant and oxygen is a by-product. Cellular respiration converts oxygen and glucose into water and carbon dioxide. Water and carbon dioxide are by- products and ATP is energy that is transformed from the process.

Hope this helps... Stay safe and have a great day/night!!!!! :D
