Answer:

A.Fiji has similar topography – mostly volcanic in origin – like other islands in the region.

Explanation:

There´s a belt of fire in the pacific that created volcanoes and when this erupted they created over the course of the years islands, several small islands that eventually grew to create archipelagos like the fiji islands, or the phillipine islands, or even Hawaii. This is why most of the islands in the pacific have similar topography because they are all volcanic made islands.

Which motion occurs at a rate of approximately one degree per day?
vovangra [49]

-- If you go outside at the same time every night and look at
some familiar stars, you'll see each of them them move westward
at almost exactly 1 degree per night.

-- The reason for that apparent motion is the real motion of the
Earth in its orbit around the sun, at almost exactly 1 degree in
every 24 hours.

(average during a whole year is  0.9856 degree  per day.)

Which idea supports the studies of magnetic reversals in rocks under the sea?
olga55 [171]
I would say the topic of such a study would be paleomagnetism and perhaps its effect on plate tectonics because when the seafloor spreads at the mid-ocean ridges, magnetized stripes of rock, symmetrical on either side of the trench form and they record changes in the earth's magnetic poles at certain times so can be dated to help show the rate of spreading of the seafloor at these locations.
