When formatting a book entry for a Works Cited page, be certain the author’s last name is the first element followed by the author’s first name. The first and last name should be separated by a comma. The title of the book should follow in title case (capitalizing all major words) and should be followed by a period. The next element is the city of publication, which is followed by a colon then the name of the publisher. After the name of the publisher, a comma should be used, which is then followed by the year of publication.
