ATP production is known as mitochondria's function and it is used in various areas in different living organisms. While oxidative phosphoryllation or chemiosmosis makes a lot of ATP (38 per cycle), fermentation can be usedd for ATP.

ATP energizes and catalyzes these reactions by splitting into ADP and P which are adenosine diphosphate and phosphate. Phosphate increases the potential energy in various chemical reactions.

A very important function it does is storing energy and transporting them

What is it about the life-cycle that makes cane toad populations successful?
Svetllana [295]

Cane Toads are very strong and adaptable, they are also poisonous throughout its life cycle, which is why they only have a few predators and have a life span of 10-15 years. Cane toads have poison glands, and the tadpoles are extremely toxic to most animals if consumed. They are productive breeders, they only need a small pool of water of almost any nature. The female cane toads can lay 8,000 to 35,000 eggs at a time and may produce two clutches in one year. The eggs will hatch within 24-72 hours and the tadpole stage may last from three to twenty weeks. Cane toads in the tropics grow really quick and may be sexually mature only within one year. Cane toads have been introduced to many regions of the Pacific and the Caribbean islands as a method of agricultural pest control because of their ravenous appetite, however, they are now considered pests and are dangerous to humans and animals, both wild and domesticated especially to dogs.

How would a scientist have made the distinction between a unicellular and a multicellular organism in the 17th century(1600s), t
Drupady [299]

Using a microscope

Explanation:

A microscope is a scientific device used for magnifying and studying very tiny features.

It was invented by Anton Von Leeuwenhoek in the 17th century.

  • A unicellular organism is an organism made up of a single cell.
  • A multi-cellular organism is made up of several cells.
  • A cell is a very small microscopic structure.
  • It is usually described as the fundamental unit of life.
  • Due to its small size, the naked eyes cannot see it
  • The invention of the microscope opened up the world of cells.
  • Since they have been around for a long time, distinction of cells would have been made possible at those times using a microscope.

For fluid movement in/out of cells, water will diffuse (via osmosis) from the hypotonic solution to the hypertonic one, assuming a permeable barrier (i.e. cell membrane) allows it. With this case, water will flow into the cell from outside.
