This diagram is a summary of the human circulatory system.

A. Capillaries - where oxygen leaves blood cells and goes to body cells, and carbon dioxide leaves body cells and joins bloods cells

B. Aorta - largest artery (takes blood away from heart) in the body

C. Left Pulmonary Artery - delivers deoxygenated blood (lacking oxygen, has lots of carbon dioxide though) to the left lung

D. Capillaries in left lung/alveoli - oxygen enters bloodstream from the left lung, carbon dioxide leaves blood and enters lungs

E. Left Pulmonary Vein - brings newly-oxygenated blood from the left lung lung back to the heart

F. Left Atrium of Heart

G. ***Can't tell exactly what it's pointing to*** Either the Left Ventricle or Mitral Valve (in between left atrium and left ventricle)

H. ***Can't tell exactly what it's pointing to*** Maybe the Descending Aorta (branch of aorta goes downwards to deliver blood to body cells)

I. Capillaries - where oxygen leaves blood cells and goes to body cells, and carbon dioxide leaves body cells and joins bloods cells

J. Inferior Vena Cava - large vein that brings deoxygenated blood back to the heart from below the heart

K. Right Ventricle

L. Right Atrium

M. Right Pulmonary Vein -brings newly-oxygenated blood from the right lung lung back to the heart

N. Capillaries in right lung/alveoli - oxygen enters bloodstream from the right lung, carbon dioxide leaves blood and enters lungs

O. Right Pulmonary Artery - delivers deoxygenated blood (lacking oxygen, has lots of carbon dioxide though) to the right lung

P. Superior Vena Cava - large vein that brings deoxygenated blood back to the heart from above the heart

changes in blood pressure, heart rate, and blood profile in mares during the last 3 months of gestation and the peripartum perio
Scrat [10]

Warmblood mares that were pregnant (n = 10) had their peripartum alterations in blood pressure, heart rate, complete blood count, plasma electrolyte concentrations, and heart rate variability (HRV) assessed.

What is Gestation ?

The time during which an embryo, and eventually a fetus, develops inside viviparous animals is known as the gestational period. Although certain non-mammals also experience it, it is usual for mammals. When mammals are pregnant, they may have one or more gestations concurrently, as in the case of multiple births.

What is peripartum period ?

The time just prior to, during, and soon following childbirth.

Everyone agrees that the postpartum period starts when the baby is born. Although the end is less well defined, it is sometimes thought to occur six to eight weeks after delivery because by then the effects of pregnancy on many systems have essentially gone back to their pre-pregnancy states.
