Answer:
Common Law is the correct answer
Explanation:
It is called common law because it was common in all the royal courts across England. It originated from the practices of the courts of English kings after the Norman Conquest in 1066. The British system spread to English colonies and they maintain the common law system today. The common law system uses the reasoning which was derived from English legal system. Almost one third of world's population lives in the countries where common law is applied or in the territories where it is mixed with civil law.
England was pretty much broke after the French and Indian War, and to start getting money and paying back debts, they started taxing the American colonies. Some of the specific things they taxed were tea (which led to the Boston Tea Party), stamps, glass, lead, and paints that were imported into the colonies. All these taxes fell under the Townshend Acts.
Christopher Columbus wanted to go to Asia but their navigation was not that great so he ended up in America. When he got to America he started to sail back goods that were in America to Europe to the Americas. That's how America got horses, cows, and pigs. They also got other things like oranges, sugar cane, and disease.
Hope this helped :-)
