Private business dealings based on supply and demand define?
Katyanochek1 [597]

So here the interplay of supply and demand influences the dealings of the private business which means that it's not centrally decided but rather market analysis is done to determine what is needed.

So I would say the best answer is: market forces!

If the head of the business was not looking to the market, but rather making central decisions, we could call it "central planning "

Describe the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s Cold War era separately
lyudmila [28]

1960s

The 1960s were characterized by the strengthening of leftist movements in Western countries, both politically and ideologically.

At that time there was an unfolding of alternative cultural and ideological projects launched during the 1950s. This is the case with the explosion of consumption caused by the prosperity of rich countries.

At the cultural level, the counterculture movement will dominate. The rise of feminism and civil movements in favor of blacks and homosexuals will set the tone for the claims in the years to come.

It was thus that movements like the hippies, against the Cold War and Vietnam, appeared to spearhead the pacifist ideals of the time.

A set of manifestations appears in several countries. These manifestations stem from movements by blacks (black power), movements by gays (gay power) and the equality of status between genders (women's lib).

Unsurprisingly, the rebellion of the 60s will reach its peak in 1968 when several student movements around the globe take over the streets to challenge the current society.

1970s

The 1970s became known as the one in which the belief in the icons of the 60s was shaken, which led some manifestations to become more subtle and unruly, as in the open-air rock festivals, where alternative life was celebrated, of love and drugs.

The Soviet Union becomes the most powerful red army in the world and shows great economic prosperity, however, the end of space and arms races is already a sign of weakening the regime.

In that decade, the Vietnam War ended with the defeat of the United States and the reunification of the country under the red flag of communism.

Cold War

The Cold War was a dispute for world superiority between the United States and the Soviet Union after World War II (1939-1945). It is called the Cold War because it is an intense economic, diplomatic and ideological war waged by the conquest of zones of influence.

The dispute divided the world into blocks of influence from the two superpowers and sparked an arms race that spanned 40 years. With different economic and political systems, the USA and the USSR put the world under threat from nuclear war, creating weapons with enough power to blow up the entire planet. The USA took the lead in the so-called free capitalist world, and the USSR in the communist world.

1980s

April 2, 1982: Argentina invades the Malvinas Islands. The Falklands War between Argentina and Great Britain begins.

In 1988, the end of the war between Iran and Iraq.

5 February 1989: withdrawal of the Soviet Union from the Afghan War.

November 9, 1989: Fall of the Berlin Wall (symbolic act that marked the end of the Cold War).
